Society has created this frenzy about football, baseball and basketball. Sports have become an enormous part of the American culture. It is engrained in us from a very young age that we need to be fans of whatever team our parents or friends cheer for week in and week out. If we don’t cheer for our parent’s team, we usually cheer for the team at whatever school we went to. We as fans are there for the good times and the bad times and we always believe our teams are going to bounce back from loses that are devastating no matter how predictable they are.
I am part of this frenzy that has been created by the society of Stillwater, Oklahoma and the OSU Cowboys. Right now the Cowboys are ranked No. 2 in football only behind LSU. This is the highest it has ever been ranked in history and I have found that this only feeds the pride and joy we receive from this sport and the successes they have as we take them as our own success. At Oklahoma State University you bleed orange for the Cowboys and Cowgirls. It just a way of life…
