“Bigger, Faster, Stronger” was a very enjoyable film. It was
eye opening to the reason’s why some people take steroids and how its affects are addicting. It seems ridiculous to me how much effort these men were putting
into their size and looks. I understand how it would be hard to stop once you
started even with negative risks. I believe this is a major problem with today’s
society; everyone is looking for the easy and quick way of doing things. Another
problem that I believe relates with steroid use is that what you have is not
good enough. American society is always comparing people and is extremely competitive. I
think steroids’ are a negative consequence of societies mentality but people ultimately
have the choice to do as they please. I hope that schools and parents can do a
better job about educating kids about being healthy individuals and accepting
their own body limitations. It is sad that we can’t be happy with our own bodies
and we are constantly looking for short cuts to overpass natural muscularity.
