NHL Lockout

When is enough, enough. Right now the NHL is in a lockout, which some people may not know. Lockouts in sport are an interesting thing. It causes an extremely large business and industry to shutdown. This lockout is due to the owners and the players not being able to agree on whom the revenue generated should be split. This lockout has been going on for over a month now and nothing has been agreed upon. Many players have now chosen to go over seas to play in order to still make money. Not only does affect the players but also the fans and the rest of the staff that work with the team. The people who are really getting the short end of the stick are the staff that works with the teams and at the arenas. Some of these people include the Athletic trainers, equipment managers, broadcasters, and ushers in the arenas. Most of these people need to find small jobs while waiting to see when or if the season is going to start. This lockout is being caused by a group of general managers, and the group of players involved with the players association. This small group of individuals are deciding for everyone and causing this lock out. In our society everyone is trying to get ahead. I am sure the major parties involved, the players and the GM’s, have enough money that this shouldn’t be as big of a deal as they are making it. What will it take for this situation to be resolved and how does it reflect on our society?
