NBA SEASON KICKS OFF

So... the 2012-2013 NBA season just kicked off and I could not be happier. Despite the fact that the Lakers are 0-12 including the playoffs, preseason and the two loses to begin this season things could not be better. Also, the fact that Verizon Fios sent me an email yesterday letting me know that they were able to make a deal with Time Warner Cable so that I am now able to watch my Lakers on the TWC Sportnet makes me a happy camper. Somehow I also knew this would happen despite their $3 billion deal with Time Warner. How could the Lakers organization deprive their loyal fan of the Lakers experience on TV you ask? Well I will tell you, it is a great business plan. With all the new acquisitions made by the Lakers in the off-season and the new CBA agreement the Lakers would have to pay about $90 million just in taxes for being over the luxury tax and this deal makes sure they have all their bases covered. They were looking out for themselves as they should, TV deals are where the money is at these days. Smart business can't be mad!
