LeBron James' Haters

People still hate LeBron for no real conceivable reason. To me, LeBron is the most complete player, possibly ever in the history of the game and he could one day legitimately surpass Michael Jordan as a player.  As of today, he's not at the same level with his offensive game as Kobe or MJ, but they're not even close to him at the defensive end, do I have to mention his uncanny passing abilities? People can criticize whatever they want about his offensive deficiencies, and "unclutch/choke" moments, but if an NBA fan can't appreciate watching a transcendent player in his prime, then please don't watch anymore basketball or talk about it. When LeBron gets a ring(which he finally did last season) people will say he needs 4 more to be like Kobe. If he gets 4 more, they'll say he needs 1 more to be like Jordan. If he wins another, they'll say Bill Russell had 11. If he gets 12 rings, they'll make fun of his hairline. Lebron haters will never go away.

  1. LeBron James is one of the most complete players in the game today, and it is debatable that he is one of the best in history. However, I do not feel that it is his performance on the court that has caused people not to like him. First, I feel that when fans of the NBA see a player that is the best at his position, they want him on their team, and they feel slighted that they did not have the star power or large enough market to draw him in. Secondly, he had an opportunity to be a hero to Akron by staying in his hometown during a time of free agency where motives are based on monetary gains and loyalty to a team rarely exists. Finally, it was the way that he left Akron, and arrived in Miami that infuriated the country. His hour long TV special "The Decision" revealed that he was making the easy choice, a choice that he knew would anger anyone who was not a Heat fan, and he arrogantly proceeded to do it anyway. Arriving in Miami guaranteeing "not 1, not 2, not 3...championships" demonstrated his arrogance again, not showing any respect for his competitors. Lebron may be an amazing player, but that does not mean we can't hate him.

  2. I couldn't agree more, I'm not too sure about him surpassing MJ or that just might be because I value MJ so highly. For the most part Lebron James is currently the best in the league hands down. I could never understand myself the hate and criticism this man has received from people. Many people still dwell on that whole Cavs incident and honestly I would have done the same thing. Honestly, if other people were put in the same situation as him I'm sure they would leave too. Being a hero to his home town? These players want to win championships, and you cant win championships without a good supporting cast. I agree that maybe the whole decision TV special may have gone wrong, but no one can say he did it the easy way. Reality is, he worked hard for it and he got what he worked for and that was his championship ring. The first year didn't turn out so well but he made sure that following year to not make those same mistakes and delivered ten fold. People need to get over it and stop the hate.
